PRIVACY POLICY

Effective: August 19, 2026

Tali's Nailz ("we," "us," "our") makes custom-fitted press-on nails. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us:

- Name, email address, shipping address, and phone number when you create an account or place an order.
- Photographs of your hands and nails that you upload to build your Nail Profile, and the nail measurements we take from them.
- Photographs and design references you upload when building a custom set or submitting to the Inspo Gallery.
- Messages, design notes, and photos you send us through the messaging feature on your account.
- Your email address if you sign up to be notified about our launch or future drops.

Information collected automatically:

- Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed, collected by our website host.
- Cookies that keep you signed in and keep your bag working. See Section 7.

Payment information:

We never see or store your full card number. Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. We receive only a confirmation and the last four digits.

2. YOUR PHOTOS

Your photos matter more than anything else we hold, so we want to be specific about them.

- Photos you upload are stored with Cloudinary, our image host, in a private area organized by account.
- We use them for one purpose: to size, design, and make your nails, and to show you proofs before we make them.
- We do not sell them, license them, or hand them to advertisers.
- We do not use them to train any artificial intelligence system. We do not use AI anywhere in our service.
- We will not post your Nail Profile photos, or photos you send us in messages, publicly or in marketing unless you tell us we can.
- The Inspo Gallery works differently. When you submit a photo there, you are giving us permission to show it in the gallery and to use it in our marketing, including on social media. Please only submit photos you are happy for us to publish. If you change your mind, email customercare@talisnailz.com and we will take it down.
- We do not use facial recognition, and we do not create biometric identifiers from your photos. We measure nail dimensions in order to cut and fit a physical product.

You can delete your photos at any time using the delete button at the bottom of your Nail Profile page, or by emailing customercare@talisnailz.com.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

- To make and ship the nails you ordered.
- To size future sets without asking you to re-photograph your hands.
- To message you about your order or your design.
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and receipts.
- To send marketing emails, only if you asked for them. See Section 6.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to accounts.
- To meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations.

4. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who make the store run, and only with what they need:

- Shopify Inc. hosts our store, processes payments, and holds order and account records.
- Cloudflare, Inc. runs the software behind your Nail Profile, your messages, and your saved designs.
- Cloudinary Ltd. stores the photographs you upload.
- Resend, Inc. delivers our email.
- Shipping carriers receive your name and address so your package can reach you.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, if we need to enforce our terms, or if we need to protect someone's safety.

We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about you across other websites over time. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party analytics trackers on our site.

5. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep your information for as long as your account is open. That is on purpose: your saved measurements and photos are what let us make your next set without asking you to photograph your hands all over again.

You can delete it whenever you want. There is a delete button at the bottom of your Nail Profile page. When you use it we immediately and permanently delete:

- every photo you have uploaded, including the cached copies on our image network
- your measurements and your Nail Profile
- your messages with us, and any design proofs

This is immediate and it cannot be undone.

The one thing that survives is your past order records. Tax law requires us to keep those for 7 years. If you have never placed an order, deleting your account removes it completely.

You can also email customercare@talisnailz.com and we will do it for you.

6. EMAIL

We send two kinds of email.

Transactional email, such as order confirmations and shipping updates, goes to everyone who orders. You cannot unsubscribe from these because they are part of your order.

Marketing email goes only to people who asked for it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribes within 10 business days. You can also email customercare@talisnailz.com to be removed. If you are in Canada, this is your express consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

7. COOKIES

We use cookies that are necessary for the store to work: keeping you signed in, keeping items in your bag, and keeping checkout secure. These come from Shopify.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics trackers. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, but the store will not work properly without the necessary ones.

8. DO NOT TRACK

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to it, so we do not respond to it. This does not change anything for you, because we do not track you across other websites regardless of the setting.

9. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Whatever state or country you live in, you can ask us to:

- Show you the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your photos, your messages, or your account.
- Stop sending you marketing email.

Email customercare@talisnailz.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will never charge you for this or treat you differently for asking.

You can also review and change most of your information yourself from your account page, and delete your account from your Nail Profile page.

10. SECURITY

Your account is protected by sign-in. Uploads require a signed-in account and are checked on our server before they are accepted, so one customer cannot upload into or read another customer's folder. Sign-in tokens are stored only as one-way hashes, never in readable form. The whole site runs over HTTPS.

No system is perfect, and we will not claim ours is. If we ever learn that your information was exposed, we will tell you.

11. CHILDREN

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are under 18, please use the store with a parent or guardian involved. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email customercare@talisnailz.com and we will delete it.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the new version on this page. If the change is significant, we will email customers whose information it affects.

Refund policy

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

Effective: August 21, 2026

ALL SALES ARE FINAL

Every set of Tali's Nailz is made to order, by hand, to your individual nail measurements. Because each set is cut and painted for one person and cannot be resold or reused, we do not accept returns and we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect design choices, or a set you no longer want.

Please read this policy before you order.

WE STILL WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT

No refunds does not mean no help. If something is wrong with your set, message us and we will work it out with you. Almost everything can be solved by talking to us.

Contact us through the messaging feature on your account, or email customercare@talisnailz.com.

OUR FIT GUARANTEE

We hand measure every nail, and we stand behind that.

If your set does not fit your nail beds, contact us within 7 days of delivery and before wearing the set, and send us photos of the set on your hands so we can see what went wrong. If we agree the fit is off, we will remake the set to corrected measurements at no cost to you.

This guarantee lasts 7 days from delivery. Any implied warranties are limited to the same 7 day period, to the extent your state allows that limit.

The fit guarantee does not apply if:

- The set has already been worn, glued, filed, cut, painted, or otherwise altered.
- The nail profile photos you submitted did not follow our photo instructions, or your measurements changed after we took them.
- You are describing personal preference about shape, length, or style rather than fit.

DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR WRONG ITEMS

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging. We will replace it, remake it, or refund it. Which of those we do is our choice, and we will tell you what we are doing and why.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

- Normal wear. A set has an average wear life of about two weeks.
- Damage from application, removal, or wear that does not follow our application and care instructions.
- Nails lost or broken after application.
- Packages marked delivered by the carrier but reported missing. Contact the carrier first, then tell us and we will help you chase it.
- Orders sent to an address entered incorrectly at checkout.

CANCELLING AN ORDER

You have 4 hours from order confirmation to cancel through your account. After 4 hours we may already have started making your set, and we cannot guarantee a cancellation. Message us right away if you need to change something and we will do what we can.

If we cancel your order for any reason, including pricing errors, inventory problems, or suspected fraud, you receive a full refund.

SHIPPING DELAYS

If we cannot ship your order within the time frame stated in our Shipping Policy, we will contact you, and you can either agree to the new date or cancel for a full refund. This applies regardless of anything else in this policy.

GIFT CARDS

Gift cards are not returnable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where state law requires otherwise.

HOW REFUNDS ARE ISSUED

When we do issue a refund, it goes back to your original payment method. Your bank usually takes 5 to 10 business days to post it.

Welcome to Tali's Nailz. These terms are the agreement between you and Tali's Nailz when you use our website or buy from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. WHO CAN USE THIS STORE

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only use the store and place orders with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the order.

You must provide accurate information, including a shipping address you can receive mail at.

2. YOUR ACCOUNT AND YOUR NAIL PROFILE

You need an account and a submitted Nail Profile before you can order, because we size every set individually.

You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to it.

Your Nail Profile photos are used to measure and make your nails. How we store, use, and delete them is described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and your photos yourself using the delete button at the bottom of your Nail Profile page.

By uploading photos, you give us permission to use them for the limited purpose of sizing, designing, and making your nails, and showing you proofs. We will not use your photos publicly or in marketing unless you separately tell us we can.

3. CUSTOM, MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS

Everything we sell is made by hand, to order, to your measurements. It cannot be resold or restocked.

Because of that, all sales are final. Our Return and Refund Policy explains the narrow situations where we will remake or replace a set, including our fit guarantee. Please read it before ordering.

Handmade means small variation is normal. Color can look different on your screen than in person, and no two hand-painted sets are identical.

4. ORDERS AND PRICING

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale. We may cancel or refuse any order, including for pricing errors, inventory problems, suspected fraud, or suspicious activity. If we cancel, you receive a full refund.

Prices are in US dollars and may change at any time before you order. We are not responsible for typographical errors, and we may correct them.

You have 4 hours from order confirmation to cancel through your account. After that, design details cannot be edited and we may have already started making your set.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees charged by their country.

5. USING YOUR NAILS SAFELY

Please read this section. It matters more than the rest.

Our sets are cosmetic products applied with adhesive. Your kit includes a dehydrator, buffer, file, cuticle stick, and nail glue.

- Follow the application and removal instructions provided with your set.
- Do not apply to broken, infected, irritated, or damaged nails or skin.
- Nail adhesive can cause irritation or an allergic reaction in some people. If you experience pain, burning, swelling, redness, or any reaction, remove the set following our removal instructions and stop using the product.
- Never rip or pry a set off. This can damage your natural nail.
- Keep adhesive and all kit components away from eyes, mouth, and children.
- If adhesive contacts your eyes or skin and will not release, seek medical help.

Our products are cosmetic items, not medical devices, and nothing we say is medical advice. If you have a nail or skin condition, or a known adhesive or acrylate allergy, talk to a doctor before using them.

You apply and remove the product yourself, and you are responsible for following the instructions.

6. GIFT CARDS

Gift cards can be used only at Tali's Nailz. They are not returnable and cannot be exchanged for cash except where state law requires it. Treat them like cash. We are not responsible for gift cards that are lost, stolen, or shared with someone else.

7. OUR CONTENT

The Tali's Nailz name, logo, designs, nail art, photographs, and site content belong to us and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, resell, or reproduce our designs or images for commercial purposes without our written permission.

You may share photos of nails you bought from us on social media, and we would love it if you did.

8. YOUR CONTENT

When you submit photos, design references, or messages, including to the Inspo Gallery, you keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to store and use it for the purpose you submitted it for, such as designing your set or reviewing a gallery submission. For Inspo Gallery submissions specifically, you also give us permission to publish the photo in our gallery and use it in our marketing.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, anything containing another person who has not agreed to it, or anything unlawful, hateful, or explicit. We can remove submissions and close accounts that break this rule.

9. THINGS YOU AGREE NOT TO DO

Do not attempt to access another customer's account, photos, or messages. Do not attempt to break, probe, or overload our site or systems. Do not use the store to defraud us or anyone else. Do not resell our products as your own work.

10. SERVICES WE RELY ON

Our store runs on Shopify, and we use Cloudflare, Cloudinary, and Resend to run features and deliver email. Their own terms apply to their services. We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by these providers, though we will do our best to help you.

11. WARRANTIES

We provide the limited fit guarantee described in our Return and Refund Policy. Apart from that guarantee, and apart from any rights your state gives you that cannot be waived, the site and products are provided as they are.

Nothing in these terms takes away a legal right you have as a consumer that cannot be given up.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost time, lost opportunity, or distress.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maine, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

14. CHANGES

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top and post the new version here. Your order is governed by the terms in effect on the day you placed it.

15. IF PART OF THESE TERMS DOES NOT HOLD UP

If a court decides that any part of these terms cannot be enforced, that part is removed and everything else stays in effect. If a part can be fixed by narrowing it rather than removing it, it should be narrowed instead.

If we do not enforce part of these terms right away, that does not mean we have given up the right to enforce it later.

16. THE WHOLE AGREEMENT

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, our Return and Refund Policy, and any other policy we link to from this site, are the entire agreement between you and us about the store and your orders. They replace anything said or written before.

Shipping policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Effective: August 21, 2026

Every set is made to order, by hand, to your measurements. There are two parts to your timeline: the time we spend making your set, and the time the carrier spends delivering it.

WHERE WE SHIP

We ship within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and to Canada. We do not currently ship anywhere else.

We also offer free local delivery on and around the Colby College campus in Waterville, Maine. See below.

HOW LONG IT TAKES

Making your set: up to 15 business days.

That is a ceiling, not a target. Most orders go out well before it, and we quote the outer limit so you are never left guessing rather than because we expect to use all of it.

For sets from our collection, that clock starts when you place your order.

For custom sets built from scratch, it starts when you approve your design proof, not when you place the order. We cannot begin until the design is settled, so time spent going back and forth on a proof is not counted against the 15.

Delivery, once your set ships:

- United States: 2 to 6 business days
- Canada: up to 21 business days

Start to finish, allow up to 3 to 4 weeks for a domestic order. Most arrive sooner.

Business days do not include weekends or holidays.

United States:

- Standard: $8.00
- Free on orders over $200

Canada:

- Standard: $20.00

FREE LOCAL DELIVERY

If you are on or near the Colby College campus in Waterville, free local delivery appears as an option at checkout.

Please include your dorm and room number in your address, along with a phone number we can reach you at. We will message you to arrange a drop-off once your set is ready.

Local delivery still takes the same time to make. It skips the mailing, not the making.

IF WE ARE RUNNING LATE

If we cannot ship your order within the time frame above, we will contact you, give you a revised date, and you can either agree to the new date or cancel for a full refund. You do not have to ask us for this. If we cannot reach you, or you do not agree to the delay, we will refund you.

This applies regardless of anything else in our policies.

TRACKING

You will get a tracking number by email as soon as your label is created. A label is usually made a little before the package is physically handed over, so tracking can sit quiet for a day or so before it starts moving.

You can also check your order status any time from your account.

MAKING SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS RIGHT

Please double check your shipping address at checkout. If you spot a mistake, email customercare@talisnailz.com immediately and we will correct it if your order has not shipped yet.

Once a package has shipped we cannot redirect it. If an order comes back to us as undeliverable because of an incorrect address, we can reship it once you cover the shipping cost again.

LOST, STOLEN, OR DELAYED PACKAGES

Once a package leaves us it is in the carrier's hands, and carrier delays are outside our control.

If tracking shows your package as delivered but you do not have it, check with anyone else at your address and your building's mail room first, then contact the carrier to open a claim. Tell us as well and we will help you chase it.

If a package is genuinely lost in transit, message us and we will work it out with you.

CANADA: DUTIES AND TAXES

Your order ships by USPS and is delivered by Canada Post.

Duties and taxes are not included in what you pay us. Canada Post collects them on delivery, along with a handling fee, before releasing your package. These charges are set by the Canadian government, not by us, and we cannot waive or refund them.

Please factor that in before ordering. Refusing a package to avoid these charges does not entitle you to a refund.

MULTIPLE ORDERS

If you place more than one order, they are made and shipped in the order received. Orders must be placed in the same transaction to qualify for a promotion or the free shipping threshold.
